About Me

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over eight years of experience working in mental health and a decade of academic and clinical study in Psychology and Neuropsychology. My practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches, with a particular focus on anxiety disorders, mood difficulties, and eating disorders across the lifespan.

I hold a BSc in Psychology from the University of Westminster, where my interests centred on Health Psychology, Pain, and Eating Disorders. I went on to complete an MSc in Neuropsychology at Maastricht University, developing further expertise in ADHD, brain disorders, the neurobiology of psychiatric conditions, psychoactive and pharmacological drugs, and ageing.

My early career involved four years as an Assistant Psychologist within inpatient and community Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder services, with some crossover into adult eating disorder inpatient and general adolescent inpatient settings. During this time, I received specialist training in CBT-T for non-underweight Eating Disorder patients delivered by Professor Glenn Waller and Hannah Turner.

I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy for Mood and Anxiety Disorders at the University of Surrey, and I am a member of the BABCP. For four years, I  was working as a High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, delivering structured, evidence-based therapy in NHS primary care (IAPT) and community contexts.

I completed a number of additional trainings and development workshops during this time including:

  • CBT for Adult ADHD: An Implementation-Focused Approach (Prof. J. Russell Ramsay, 2023)

  • CBT Supervision Training (University of Surrey, 2023):  days comprehensive training modules in clinical supervision for individual and group therapy.

  • CBT for Long-Term Persistent and Distressing Health Conditions (IAPT, Canterbury Christ Church University & University of Surrey, 2024) – 10 full-day workshops covering Chronic Pain, CFS, ME, IBS and COPD.

  • Additional professional training in working with autistic adults and adapting CBT, and a GAD Masterclass.

I now work as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist Specialising in Eating Disorders - This is in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS trust, specifically the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. I work with families and young people suffering with Eating Disorders and have completed additional training in this role also.

  • CBT-E (Fairburn) 20 hours Webinar based training in Enhanced CBT for Eating Disorders.

  • ARFID Conference 2025 (full-day workshop).

  • FT-ED four-day full training (Family Therapy for Eating Disorders, 2025) delivered by Professor Ivan Eisler at SLAM/Maudsley.

My approach to therapy is structured, collaborative, and informed by clinical research and psychological theory. I work to understand the origins and maintenance of difficulties, using this understanding to guide focused interventions that promote meaningful and sustainable change.
